NGO9 provides a completely free, professionally designed website hosted on a subdomain of ngo9.in.
This service includes:
- Website setup on an ngo9.in subdomain
- All essential sections (Home, About, Activities/Programs, Gallery, Downloads, Contact)
- Hosting and maintenance
- Free website updates every quarter
- Optional login access if you want to edit the website yourself
There are no charges, no hidden fees, and no obligation to purchase any service.
2. Eligibility Requirements
To request a free website, your organisation must:
- Be a registered NGO, Trust, Society or Section 8 Company
- Submit accurate organisational details
- Provide genuine photographs, logo and documents
- Be authorised to represent your organisation
NGO9 may decline requests that do not meet eligibility or verification criteria.
3. Subdomain Assignment Policy
You may request a preferred subdomain (example: yourngo.ngo9.in).
NGO9 reserves the right to:
- Approve, modify, or reject subdomain requests
- Suggest an alternative if the chosen subdomain is unavailable
- Make changes for technical or compliance reasons
Subdomain Restrictions
Subdomains cannot include:
- Names of government bodies, brands, or well-known personalities
- Offensive, misleading, abusive or political terms
- Trademarks or copyrighted names
- Impersonation of another organisation
Subdomains are final once approved.
4. Ownership & Responsibility for Content
Your Responsibilities
You are fully responsible for:
- All text, images, reports and content displayed on your website
- Ensuring information is correct, legal and ethical
- Copyright permissions for images, logos and documents
- Regularly verifying your contact details
NGO9 does not verify the accuracy of your content.
Our Responsibilities
NGO9 will:
- Host your website
- Maintain server uptime and environment
- Provide free quarterly updates
- Provide login details only if requested
NGO9 does not provide legal, financial, audit or compliance guarantees.
5. Prohibited Content
Websites may be removed if they include:
- False or misleading information
- Political promotion or election content
- Hate speech, harmful or offensive material
- Fraudulent fundraising or financial misuse
- Copyright violations
- Malware, harmful files or misuse of server resources
- Impersonation or misuse of NGO9 branding
NGO9 may take immediate action without notice.
6. Usage Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Install plugins or themes
- Modify server settings or system files
- Upload harmful, malicious or oversized content
- Use website for unrelated commercial advertising
- Share hosting space or upload files for storage
- Resell or transfer your subdomain
- Use bots, scrapers or automated tools

7. Website Suspension or Removal

8. Service Limitations

- Uptime or uninterrupted service
- Search engine ranking
- Data recovery after deletion
- Permanent hosting
- Backup availability
Service features may change at any time.
9. Data & Content Storage
- Content is stored on NGO9’s server environment
- Backups may be created internally but are not guaranteed
- Deleted and suspended websites may be permanently removed
Organisations should keep their own copies of all files.
10. Branding & Portfolio Display
Unless you request otherwise in writing, NGO9 may:
- Display your website in our portfolio
- Mention your organisation as a supported NGO
- Use screenshots for demonstration or awareness
We will never share confidential internal documents.
11. Account Access & Security
You must:
- Keep login credentials confidential
- Use strong passwords
- Inform NGO9 immediately if unauthorised access is suspected
- Avoid sharing logins with unknown persons
NGO9 is not responsible for loss caused by weak or compromised passwords.
12. Cancellation
You may request removal of your website at any time.
