1. Free Website: How It Works

NGO9 provides a completely free NGO website with no hidden charges, no renewal fee and no setup cost.

Follow these three simple steps:

Step 1: Fill the “Free Website” Form

  • Visit ngo9.in
  • Click Free Website in the top menu
  • Fill in your NGO details
  • Provide your preferred subdomain

Step 2: Email Your Logo, Photos & Reports

Send the following to support@ngo9.in:

  • NGO Logo (PNG/JPG)
  • 4–6 photos
  • Annual Report (PDF) or 2 program reports
  • Any extra text if you want it added

These help us design your site properly.

Step 3: NGO9 Sets Up Your Website

NGO9 will:

  • Create your subdomain
  • Build your website
  • Add your logo, photos and reports
  • Publish your site
  • Provide login details on request
  • OR provide free quarterly updates if you prefer not to edit yourself

Delivery time: 24–72 hours

2. Login & Dashboard Access (Optional)

(Only for NGOs who request editing access)

Login URL:

yourorg.ngo9.in/wp-admin

Steps:

  1. Enter the username and password shared by NGO9
  2. Go to Users → Profile to change your password
  3. Use the left-side menu to edit pages, media, downloads, etc.

If you don’t need editing access, simply email updates to support@ngo9.in — NGO9 will update your website quarterly for free.

3. Editing Your Website (For NGOs With Login Access)

Edit Text

  • Go to Pages → Edit
  • Click on the text you want to change
  • Replace with your content
  • Click Update

Edit Photos / Gallery

  • Go to Media → Add New
  • Upload new images
  • Go to the Gallery section on the page
  • Replace or add images
  • Click Update

Upload Reports

  • Go to Media → Add New and upload your PDF
  • Copy the file URL
  • Replace the link in the Downloads section
  • Click Update

Edit Contact Information

  • Scroll to Contact section
  • Update address, phone and email
  • Click Update

4. Image & Document Guidelines

Logo

  • PNG preferred
  • Transparent background
  • 300×100 px recommended

Photos

  • High-quality horizontal images
  • Recommended width: 1200 px

PDFs

  • Under 10 MB
  • Clean filenames
    Example: Annual_Report_2024.pdf

5. Subdomain Policy

  • Format: yourchoice.ngo9.in
  • Must be unique
  • Assigned after checking suitability
  • Change allowed only upon request
  • NGO9 may suggest alternatives if your preferred name is unavailable

Q. Is the website really free?

Yes. Completely free. No hidden fees at any stage.

Q. Will I get login access?

Yes, on request.
Otherwise, NGO9 provides free quarterly updates.

Q. How long does setup take?

24–72 hours after receiving your logo, photos and reports.

Q. Can I request a custom domain?

Yes — available under paid plans.

Q. Can I add more pages?

More pages are included in premium paid upgrades.

Q. What if I forget my password?

Use “Lost your password?” or email us.

Q. Can multiple team members log in?

Yes. Add them under Users → Add New.

7. Troubleshooting

Website not opening

  • Wait 24 hours for new subdomain activation
  • Clear browser cache
  • Try another network/device
  • Contact support if still not opening

Login page not loading

  • Verify correct URL: yourorg.ngo9.in/wp-admin
  • Check spelling
  • Try Incognito mode

Edits not showing

  • Click Update
  • Clear browser cache
  • Refresh the website

Images not uploading

  • Reduce size (under 1–2 MB)
  • Convert HEIC to JPG (iPhone images)
  • Try from a computer

PDF link not working

  • Re-upload the PDF
  • Copy fresh URL
  • Update link in Downloads section

  • Keep text short and clear
  • Use real photos from your field activities
  • Upload latest annual reports
  • Maintain correct contact details
  • Refresh images and content monthly
